KALEVA KUORO

Kaleva Kuoro began as a modest double quartet, quickly expanding to a full chorus in 1957.  This year, 2007, marks the 50th Anniversary of Sault Ste. Marie's Finnish Male chorus.

Kaleva Kuoro will be celebrating this event with a small venue Dinner-Concert.  This event will take place on October 26th at the Best Western Banquet hall.

Current members include Director Olavi Turpela, Matti Rahkola, Juhani Jarvinen, Voitto Koskinen, Kaarlo Heiskanen, Mauri Luomaranta, Jouko Jyrkama, Erkki Pohjoisrinne, Erkki Ruhanen, Kalevi Humalamaki, Tapani Rissanen, Milton Kalliojarvi, Lenni Luoma, and Andy Manttari.
